Sidebar's for "Categories" pages not working

  • I keep getting this message where the sidebar should be.. it tells me to go into “appearance” and go to “widgets” and assign the sidebar to the page. When i do this nothing changes! Does anyone know anything i can do to fix it? everything seems to be set up alright and the sidebar works on all other pages, just not the categories.
