I have been creating some duplicate pages so the link above is fixed (for now) below is a link I haven’t done anything with yet.

Did the sidebars disappear without you editing them, or did they dissappear after you edited them?

In another thread you mentioned having an issue corresponding to https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/plugin-content-aware-sidebars-missing-categoreis-and-pages?replies=4.

    From your other thread:

I am not sure what is happening with your plugin. I have about 400 pages (half in English half in Spanish), so about 200 in each language. Only about 100 of those pages show up in the pages list (see screenshot).

I have no idea what happened. I have tried reinstalling, deactivating all of my plugins. None of my other content is being affected (thank goodness!).

Another thing to note is that when I select the “Show with All Pages” option I can get sidebars to appear on all pages. But that doesn’t work for my site as I have a multi-level site and I don’t want to show all those pages at one time.

Removing Content Aware Sidebars will delete all relevant data created by the plugin. Deactivating it will leave the data in the database so that the user can activate the plugin again and still use the sidebars.
Content Aware Sidebars will not manipulate with any data created by WordPress itself, other plugins, themes etc.

When you say “multi-level” site, do you then refer to WordPress multisite or that your site is multilingual (or both)? The plugin has not been tested with a multisite installation of WordPress.

No it is not a multisite. It is a fairly deep site and I don’t want all of the pages to be showing 3 or 4 levels down which is why I have really been liking your plugin. I have been using it for months now without a problem.

Did you see my note about how it can’t see all of my published pages in the page listing portion of the plugin. That seems odd that that would occur all of a sudden.

I had been editing the sidebars to use them with WPML. I am not sure that i am using the plugin correctly with that plugin. I have been including both languages (English and Spanish) on the English sidebar and they have been appearing correctly on my site.

What version did you use before updating to version 1.2? Your issue does sound as it is the same as discussed here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/plugin-content-aware-sidebars-missing-categoreis-and-pages Can you confirm/deny this?

When you handle multilingual content with the plugin, you should not fill out the metabox created to the right but rather select the languages the sidebar should be displayed with in the accordion menu (center).

Version 1.2 introduced a feature that lets the plugin automatically select new pages if their ancestor is selected, which I think you might like if you have many levels.

I was using 1.12. I just followed the link you posted and initially that seems to have fixed the problem of not displaying all of my pages. I can now see all 400+ or so of them.

I am guessing by adding all the additional pages I went over the 200 limit.

I will keep you posted as to how things go as I have to recreate all of my sidebars.

Sounds great! I will mark this issue as resolved for the time being. If you encounter more problems, please report them.
