Sight Theme-JS Cookie Issue

Ok, so this is a theme issue involving Javascript, so hope this is the right place to be posting:

There are two ‘Recent Entries’ view modes, and the current default is the ‘list’ mode. So I have deduced that the JS is basically set to default to the ‘list’ view unless a ‘grid’ cookie is set. That all works well and wonderful, but all I’d like is to set the default to ‘grid’ rather than ‘list’. I’ve gotten close, but not without glitches (relevant code in loop.php?). I thought it’d be as simple as switching around the names ‘list’ and ‘grid’ within the JS code and the .php files it appears in, but no.
