Sign-up fails: You have opted out of our newsletters and cannot re-subscribe

Hello, I am using Constant Contact Sign Up Widget on my WordPress Woocommerce website.
I get the following message when I try to sign up with a test email: You have opted out of our newsletters and cannot re-subscribe.
But a user should be able to re-subscribe even if they opted out. Any ideas how to fix this?Also there is a “Subscribe me to your mailing list” option on the product pages, below the Reviews. Sign-up box with check mark is not visible in Chrome, please see an example here https://sparklesstore.com/shop/mesmeric/bar-necklace. But it’s visible in IE. Would love to fix it in Chrome also
