• Hi,
I am not sure I am in the right place, but here goes.
I use your plugin an love it. Today when I was doing a routine check for missing links and other nasties I suddenly noticed that active subitems in my sidebar menus change colour. This is something I have wanted for a long time but now I am wondering how I can customise the colour because the default is not to my liking.

    Thanks for your help,
    Nicky

    Hi Nicky,

By default the hover styling will be applied to the active item. You can change the active styling using custom CSS, which you can find on this page:

I had a look at that and made some experimental changes but the thing I cannot figure out is how to change the active style on the pages I linked to before. This is for the sidebar menus. Active items have a blue background with a dark grew font that is very hard to red. How do I change even just the font colour to white? I tried to do that in the general tab of the Mega Menu theme but did not see a change.

    Hi osnicky,

Ah, I see you’re using MMM for the header/top menu, but your side menu is still controlled/styled by your theme (I didn’t realise you were referring to your side menu before). Changing the styling for that is something you’d need to ask your theme authors to help with, there may be an option for it in your theme settings somewhere, but you’d need to ask your theme authors to point you in the right direction.

Yeah, that is what I was thinking. I have reached out to them.
I would not even be sure how to make the sidebar menus with your tool.
    Does it do that too?

    Hi osnicky,

It is possible to create vertical / sidebar menus with MMM, but you would need the pro version:
