Simple and easy to edit template?

    I’ve recently moved from WordPress.com to .org and am currently using Amedeus theme.

    I was hoping it would be a simple and easy to edit theme but don’t like how it has a built in box for content and automatically shows the title left-aligned on each page. I don’t know how to remove that setting which is really frustrating.

    Please can someone recommend a seriously paired-back theme without any such page layout pre-sets/defaults.

    I’ve tried a few others but none are simple enough. (Please can it be a free theme too!)
