simple and effective

  • I started using your plugin at version 1.2.4 and you have steadily resolved its teething problems. It is a pleasure to use. I especially like the fact that the reader does not necessarily needs to go to the bottom of the page to see the reference by using the hover/tooltip feature.
    Looking forward to see if you are going to do anything with my other suggestion (click instead of hover to show footnote_plugin_tooltip_text on a tablet/phone), but love your plugin even if that never becomes reality.

    Thanks for your review. Its nice to read that our Plugin is such helpful.

    We are already looking forward for and smartphone/table solution for the tooltip but there is one big problem:

    Actually the tooltip appears on mouse over. When you click the superscript you will be moved to the reference container.

    With a smartphone/tablet you only have the click event and no hover event. In our actual solution we decided to link to the reference container when clicking the superscript instead of showing the tooltip.

    Maybe you have a creat idea about how to simulate both events (click and hover) for smartphones/tablets ??

    Forgot to mention the hover in my review – really, really like that function!
