As a busy website designer for the past 12 years, I have often found myself in situations where I couldn’t log in to my client’s hosting platform but urgently needed to access the files on the server. When I discovered Advanced File Manager, those worries ended! If a site has a problem and the client has been slow to get me an updated password or I can’t get in touch with them, I can still address most issues using this effective and easy-to-use plugin. For that reason alone I highly recommend it, but there are other good reasons to use it too. For instance, those times when the plugin updater hangs in maintenance mode. Just go to your File Manager, find the .maintenance file and delete it, the site comes right back up and you’re back to work! Just make extra sure that the security on your site is super dependable or delete the plugin between uses.
9 months later Update: I just fell in love with what was a handy and functional plugin! I didn’t have FTP credentials for a client and needed to upload his video files, and learned that you can bypass the WordPress/PHP file upload limits using this plugin! Flow uninterrupted and task completed…I will use this plugin much more now that I know this!
