Still in the backlog, the recent influx of downloads has brought to light a few more pressing issues. This feature will hopefully be coming in the next month.

Great banner. I am also waiting for a WPML translation to be available.

I’m planning on implementing this soon. One drawback is that it requires a wp_body_open hook to be existing in your theme. This hook was recently added in Wordpres 5.2.0 so it may not be implemented on your theme. Please check your theme for the hook. When implemented i will add instructions for adding the hook to your theme to make translation possible.

The recent update, 2.6.0, enables the wp_body_open action if your theme uses it. Enabled the action in the Simple Banner settings page and i believe your translation plugins will be able to see it. Please let me know if this fixes this issue.

I have tried this function, but when I activate it the banner disappears from the web.

Is there anything else to do?

If you have enabled wp_body_open and the banner is not showing, this most likely means that your theme does not have the wp_body_open hook in it. You will need to add the wp_body_open tag to your theme code,?https://generatewp.com/wordpress-5-2-action-that-every-theme-should-use/ (see?New Theme Structure).

wp_body_open is a wordpress hook that allows the banner to load quicker, enabling some translation plugins to see the text and translate. In the future, please open a new support ticket instead of commenting on a 4 month old ticket.
