Simple, but very functional

You could modify one of the ecommerce plugins to do this, or some of them even do this if you play with the settings, but this catalog is way more handy because it works straight off with no mods.

Looks like it just using custom post types so again could dev this yourself if you wanted but it is very handy to have it as a plugin out of the box.
