• Hi,
It display in the edit page right column the list of all shortcodes grouped by plugin and displays if exist the documentation extracted from plugin sources.

    I have 313 Shortcodes…

The other plugin Edit Screen Shortcode Lister is complementary : it gives a full list of shortcodes. You can copy this list to hold your own documentation.

I have not found a plugin which extracts the doc from plugin when it exists and allows to create his own complementary documentation and tell if they are used and or available in the context.
The question is that the list changes and you cannot create a static doc.

There are 4 plugins for this, they could be joined usefully

    Thanks, Trebly!
Today I was thinking “hmm, how usefull is this interface with a lot of shortcodes?” And only then I’ve read your case:-)

I can think of something, like an autocomplete searchbox? Think that’ll help, right?

    Cheers,

    Hi,

Myself when I discover that 315 shortcodes were available in my installation, I say whoa!! humm! from where they come, what’s exactly the use…

Correlatively, I was sure to have a very useful shortcode in my packages, but where, where is the doc, the syntax ?

Again, during last days I have defined two families of shortcodes which can be used with plugins that I am developing right now. The question remains for me how to define them clearly for user and for them get context help…

The codex, for shortcode definition as it is the aim of codex, could specify data containing a text-block which will contain the doc and another a typology indication (in fact the current definition is restrictive shortcodes or like can insert extra text using ajax, open popup, my own like shortcodes, for example : add classes to current element and dynamically – via JQ, insert anchor and reference fragments).

This standard then could be very useful for plugin developers to enhance the interface.

They are complements of syntax to create enhanced contents.

    Cheers

    Trebly
