• I’m trying to find the right calendar plugin or the way to adapt one with S2 Member so that a user group can add an event to a public calendar and only that member can edit that single event or delete it. So a paid membership would allow you to post to a calendar but I don’t want other members to be able to edit events that they did not create.

WordPress has that ability with blog posts but I don’t see that ability for events.

The events do not require registration and all that bells and whistles. In fact all I need is the calendar. The caveat I’m looking for better calendar functionality like repeating events on day or date, a “new” icon for changed or updated events, filtering, all that.

I was looking at event expresso but it seems to be way more than what is needed for the user group that will be using the site.

    Thanks!

  • I don’t know the answer to this, but what you really need is a plugin that uses a custom post type for events.

Then it should be possible, using a plugin like Capability Manager Enhanced, to add the capabilities typical of the WordPress Author role to the s2Member level(s) you are using so as to achieve what you want.
