I downloaded and loaded up Simple Facebook Connect (https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/simple-facebook-connect/), so I can have commenters link to their facebook profile.

I’m using the thesis theme. And I got the button to load on the comment page. But when I click on the Facebook connect page I get the following:

An error occurred with Tan Pham. Please try again later.

    API Error Code: 100
    API Error Description: Invalid parameter
Error Message: next is not owned by the application.

Tan Pham is the name of my Facebook app. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

  • I’m having exactly the same problem. I can’t work out how to create the Application to allow it to work.

    Help would be most welcome.

I had this problem too, here is how i solved it.
Check if your site is using www or not, so it will be either https://www.yoursite.com
    OR
    https://yoursite.com

Go to your facebook application and make sure the “connect url” on the connect tab is exactly the same as how you see your site url when looking at your site. So if your site doesnt use www make sure you dont have www in your facebook connect url.

    Should solve the problem.

    It does. You are awesome!

I’m having the same error message, and I checked, both are using the https://www.mydomain.com.

Although, facebook is requiring that I add a slash at the end of the URL, and my wordpress installation has the url for the home page without the slash. Is this the issue? If so, how do I fix it in wordpress?
