I think a good rule to follow is:

blog look and feel -> comment here
blog content -> comment on blog, or to blog owner by email

Comments regarding content can lead to some problems, so as Kaf suggested, please restrict your comments to the site layout and design and carry on a conversation regarding the content off-list.
