I have a client with a site utilizing WooCommerce to sell some basic items: T-shirts, mugs, bags, etc.

They also want to offer a simple gift card option – a product with a few preset price options: $10, $20, $50, etc. A physical card will then be sent out.

How do I set this up in WooCommerce? I know it needs to be a Variable Product, but I’m getting confused by the Attributes/Variable settings. Any advice would be most appreciated. Thanks!

Note: They are NOT interested in online gift card options, either from WooCommerce or other companies.

    Hi there,

If I understand correctly, they just want to sell the gift cards online, but don’t want to have any online gift card functionality for redeeming them on the site itself.

If so, then that should be possible with a Variable product. You would first add an attribute named something like “Amount”, and then enter terms 10 | 20 | 50 and any other values you want. Make sure the option to “Used for Variations” is checked, then save the attributes. Next, switch to the Variations tab and create your variations, then enter the prices for each one. We have a guide for creating Variable products here:
    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/variable-product/

    I hope that helps!
