Simple images and ratings blog

I’m wondering, how easy would it be to use WP and plug-ins to build a simple site that would display images and allow people to vote on them?

There seem to be several plug-ins for both functions, and rather than try all permutations I wondered if anyone had already tried this and could share some suggestions.
