Simple Links Access Rights

    Hi,

    I’ve installed Simple Liks on a WordPress 4.0 fresh install.

    Adding a link works with administrative rights but not with lower rights, such as contributors. What is the minimum right level to be able to publish a link ?

    The symptom in case of lower rights, is that the ‘Publish’ button shows up for half a second and then vanishes. The only remaining link is ‘Move to Trash’.

    Hi Stephane,

    Simple Links uses the default rights for a post.
    For instance to edit a link one must have the edit_post capability. To publish a link, one must have the publish_post capability.

    By default WP will give editors all required rights and contributors will only be able to edit but not publish.
