Simple list view shortcode for free version

Can someone make me a shortcode to put in my functions.php to insert the list view of The Events Calendar into any post or page? The free version doesn’t include shortcodes and the standard calendar page conflicts with my current theme (Thrive Themes – Theme Builder).

I just want to test The Events Calendar and I don’t want to buy it just now. After filling up the database with events and a few weeks of testing the live version, I will move to paid version.
