The user data of simple membership plugin I use (free version) has been compromised. The user data from my website has been hacked and is available on google.

Please advise as to how I can get this user data off of google.

    Thank you!

    FYI for anyone concerned…

Another way to see if your membership site is compromised, just do a search with your “domain name” and then type in “user-data” in a google search. You’ll see if your site comes up for user-data.xlsx files.

Relieved to know what caused it and glad it’s not this plugin.

    I tagged this post “modlook”.

Moderators, would you please delete this support forum thread or delete all references to https://archangelsbless because I want the users on this website I manage to know their data is secure and do not want my client’s links listed on the search engines.

    Thank you!

I’m sorry but that’s only done in extreme cases. Search engine hits are never considered extreme and your posts and topic will not be edited or deleted.

Hi, I am marking this thread as resolved since the issue was not related to this plugin.

    Thank you

    Jan Dembowski,

I spoke with my lawyer regarding my client’s privacy and this does, in fact, classify as an “extreme issue”.

If this thread is not removed from the www.ads-software.com forums my lawyer will be contacting www.ads-software.com directly.

A website showing up in search results is not an extreme case, that’s how search engines and the internet work, you chose to disclose the information in a public forum after all.

Unfortunately you chose to play the legal threat card, which has a short lifespan here on the forums as it’s staffed by volunteers we don’t let those sit idly, and as a precaution your account has been flagged. This means we’ll manually have to approve any post you make until we see that you can interact with others accordingly.

This topic is also not a place to discuss legal matters, if you have a direct complaint about moderation actions you may take them up with [email protected]
