  • It doesn’t work at all for my theme, a modified ‘Greentrack’ theme. I noticed that the ‘Greentrack’ theme has all the head.php info located not in the header.php but in the index.php. It works for my theme, but not for the gallery. None of the .css from my theme comes through when I try to access the gallery.

    Any ideas.

I just broke every rule in the book. Please keep in mind that I know next to nothing about anything to do with css and php. But I just copied the whole index.php file, that would normally have been in the header.php file of a theme, with the exception of the sidebar information that I didn’t want anyway, to the sp_index.php, and it worked. It probably shouldn’t but it did. Wish I could prove it to you but I am experimenting in wamp so I can’t.

Can anyone come up with a more by the book method for me.

Oh and I had the same problem SlackeR. I e-mailed someone who had it and they e-mailed it to me. So I will do the same for you.

For those of you who are editing out the sidebar, remember to add an additional inline stylesheet reference to make the content go the full width of the body. I just added in my style tag,

    #content {width: 750px;}

But I am sure that’s the wrong way to do it eh.

I will stop posting now since I hate people who post ten times in a row too.

anybody has the “shaynesweeney” tutorial? his page it’s not online anymore, tnx!

Taiwantroll: can you email me the instructions you have to jwurster at comcast dot net? I have the Enhanced Simple PHP Gallery working but am having difficulty trying to integrate in into WP. I followed the tutorial at https://www.quirm.net/show.php?contentid=11 but unsuccessfully.

I think my problem is the theme I am using. The tutorial says it was based on using the Kubrick theme.

Taiwantroll: Please, can you mail me the instructions? My e-mail: agutierrez AT gutielua DOT com?

    Regards!!

I’m looking for a tutorial like the one “shaynesweeney” provided a while back. I’m using the Enhanced Simple PHP Gallery. Does anyone have a link?

I am using the SimplePHPGallery (just to say it’s not the enhanced version). I have uploaded the files but don’t know what to do then. I want to have the gallery on a special wordpress page, but I’m not very good at coding yet. How do I do this? Thanks in advance.

I would like to know this as well!

It’s not that difficult really. If you have configured the config.php file (according to the readme file) and uploaded them to a directory, you only have to make new directories from there to make more than one album and upload the pictures to those. If you just want all pictures in one place, upload them to the same folder where you have the gallery files (though it will become somewhat messy).

    Well – I’ll bight!
I Believe I’ve configured the config.php file according to the readme file – and here’s what I get…
    https://www.thefisherman.com.au/blog/gallery/
Is there anyone out there who could hold my hand through this – I have no php experience – but I can follow detailed instructions!
    Hoping…
    JP

I get exactly the same thing:

    https://beremski.tsohost.co.uk/wp/gallery.

I have believe I have followed the instructions correctly.

Jp, I don’t know what those errors are, I’m not very good at php and such yet. But have you added the content in
sp_styles.css (it comes with the gallery package so it should be where you have your gallery files) to your style.css file in WordPress? If not, I suggest you put it into style.css using the theme editor in the admin panel.
I think that might do it.

    Hi
Can someone maybe send me a copy of SPG? Or is there another link? Cause the site https://relativelyabsolute.com/spg/download.php only says: “This site has been deactivated.”
    Please mail to [email protected]

    Thanks
