Simple Pie plugin on a static page

    I have searched the forum and can’t find this question anywhere. If it has been asked and answered, I apologize.

    I am using the simplepie plugin for wordpress to display a feed on one of my pages. I would like to put some text at the top of the page describing what the content of the page is. However, when I put in the [parse_feed] short code, the page shows the feed first and the text after. Is there any way to force the page to display my text first and then parse the feed?
