  • Unsure what you mean. Are you talking about creating a theme and installing it on another site?

    Thank you for your responce

OK Theme is done and it is running on the site…

I add s subdomain to this site to run blogs and i have all the blogs there, the main site and subdomain should be looking same but I don really want to recreate theme on that subdomain so I can backup and restore main site but I might loose all the blogs on it so was looking for solution on how transfer fully designed theme only and no data.

I hope it is answer your question

I still don’t quite get it, especially what this has to do with subdomains. Apparently you have 2 websites that should look identical. You have the theme ready on one of them and now you want to use it on the 2nd website as well – do I see that right?

If yes, then you have to install the theme in the 2nd website as well. You don’t need to do any export or migration. Just pack the theme as a ZIP and upload it there and activate it.

But maybe I’m wrong with my assumption?

    No you are mostly correct.

Generic theme is on second site but it need same header and footer setup as well as a page. So I thought if I can be able export theme from main site with all the changes, it would save me time…

Idea was that main site will have link to blog directory that is located on a subdomain where i keep our blogs
