I tried searching for the answer to this, but I’m sort of confused! I’m new to PHP and operating a blog, so please bear with me.

I’m trying to make the body– that is, the main content, wider. Simply, looking from left to right, I want it to be longer, which would help to shorten the webpage. I tried messing with different width pxs and %’s in the theme editor, but I couldn’t find the right one that works.

My site is https://www.steaknwar.com , if you want to look at it.

    Thanks guys
    Andy

    1. Don’t use the theme editor. It’s dangerous.
2 Edit in a plain text editor, like Notepad.
    3. Changing the width value for the #content in the stylesheet, didn’t work?

Thanks for the quick reply. I’ll try that now and update this thread in a few. ??

    Hehe, that certainly worked!!

But, it pushed my sidebar below the content. Anyway I can put the sidebar back?

    Well, I didn’t look into details…
The bad part is that in a theme’s design (almost) everything is inter-related with the rest of the design. There might be a general “wrap” div containing everything or something similar – and in that case you need to increase the overall width of that div.

That’s why it is advisable to tweak a design only if you understand the consequences…
