Hi, Simple question. I’m guessing that the staging site created by this plugin is not or cannot be indexed by the Google Web Crawler? Is this true?

I just want to make really really sure that when I create a staging site that Google does *not* index it.

    Let me know. Thanks!

The staging site is not accessible by the public when the default settings are used, so it isn’t by google either.

OK, thanks! Good news. I may also apply “noindex” to all the pages just to make sure. Or does your plugin do this by default? Thanks,

You can also block search engines in standard WordPress setting ( reading ) ??

    Hi There,

i wonder if this is really true? Dear Rene, are you sure the pages cannot be indexed by google? There is no meta no index follow tag and: you need no admin access to view your staging- website unter:

    https://www.mysite.de/staging/

so: how to make sure this cannot be indexed?

    Greetings, Melanie ??

    > you need no admin access to view your staging- website unter:

Than there is either something went wrong or you are already logged in. Open chrome in incognito mode and try again. You should not be able to access the site when you are logged out.

    Hi Rene,

sorry to say that aber i think something really went very bad by my site ??
I can access the site without admin login – i opened it as you proposed i a private browser window.
hmm what might be wrong? I cloned the site as described…

Thanks for this post. You are correct that pages/post are not accessible if not logged in. Also went ahead in Setting > Reading and enabled Discourage search engines from indexing this site. Cool plugin!
