Simple question – How do I put an intro paragraph on the home page?

Easiest way? Create a new post and make it sticky. Now it will always be at the top of the “latest posts” list.

FYI: I also modified loop.php (3.0 RC3) so that sticky posts don’t display author/date/etc. I want a sticky to just look like “embedded” text.

How do I make a post into a “sticky”?

Edit the post. Open the Visibility sub-menu under the Publish tab. Check “Stick this post to the front page”. Update the post.
