There are so many options available for the Basic Next Gen Gallery – however I can’t seem to figure out how to make what seems like a simple application work and I am unsure if it is a)not possible, or b)I just can’t figure out how to do it????

All I want to do is have the thumbnail that represents the gallery shown on the page and when you click on the thumbnail the thickbox or any of the lightboxes popup and then the user can scroll through the entire gallery within the lightbox. I’ve tried so many different configurations and it seems like the only way to do this is to put all of the thumbnails that I want to display in the lightbox on the page, which is really quite klunky for this particular site.

Is this not possible? – it seems so simple?

    Any help greatly appreciated…

  • @computersimple, it has never been possible to upload the gallery from a single image. In the years, the easiest solution I’ve ever seen is this here, last post.

P.S.: Please, next time use an appropriate title for your topic.

@computersimple – Another option is to use a shortcode like this:
    [ngg_images gallery_ids=1 display_type=photocrati-nextgen_basic_thumbnails disable_pagination=1 images_per_page=1]

    – Cais.
