• I am setting up my blog. I have the STC follow widget set up but there is not button.
I created the application at twitter and the auto tweet function works.

Is there something else I’m supposed to do? My twitter name is in the box on the widget so it should know who to follow.

Is there a conflict with the twitter jetpack or the sharedaddy this on twitter?

Is your theme missing the wp_footer() code in the footer.php file?

No it is not missing; I just looked and found that snippet already there.

    I am using Weaver.

I also don’t see author, email or url in the comments.php file for setting up the comments plug-in, but that is a minor issue at this point.

The jetpack twitter code will indeed probably cause a conflict. Disable that piece of jetpack and use the STC-Tweetbutton instead.

I will disable the jet pack and try it.
But I already am using the tweet button. I’m using the jetpack plugin for twitter updates ion the side bar widget and the STC tweet plugin to send posts to Twitter. Does the STC have a plugin that allows for twitter updates–a stream of recent tweets?
Or does the STS Tweet plugin also do that and I just don’t understand it yet…if that is the case, would you explain please?

Okay I disabled the jetpack and refreshed–no difference. I’ll keep checking in case it takes awhile to upate. But the STC button did not work previously when I did not even have the Twitter jetpack installed…but at that time I was testing out the Tweet This plugin and it may have been a conflict.

I will post again if the button shows up in awhile, otherwise I won’t and will just await a response.

    Thanks for helping.

Well, if you disabled it, then that wasn’t the conflict. It would have happened instantly.

Without actually seeing the problem on your site, I can’t really tell for sure what the deal is.

    Okay I’m really lost now.

Yesterday I added the fb like button plug-in and the fanbox. They showed up perfectly with the first refresh. But every refresh after that there was a big blank white spot–across an entire swath of area even for the small like button. But when I logged off and went in to see it from my husband’s side everything was beautiful. Though no STC follow button.

So now I thought I’d try firefox–I’ve been using IE and I either updated or made sure it was updated a week ago.

In Firefox everything shows up–including the STC Follwo button.
What does this mean? I mean, what can I do?

Just in case I rechecked my husband’s side and the results were the same as yesterday–no STC follow but the FB like and fan box were there.
Something must be wrong with my settings…but what?

I also just realized that my SFC Bookmark is not showing up in any browser.

I don’t see any problems on that page. Looks fine in Chrome.

Also, yes, the Bookmark plugin doesn’t work anymore, as FB stopped supporting that bit of code.

And if you’re using IE9, none of the Facebook connect code works properly. This is a problem between IE9 and Facebook. Nothing I can do about it. Don’t use IE.

    Thread Starter Rollercoasterider

    (@rollercoasterider)

Okay. I thought it was IE 8 when I checked. But that means other using IE9 can’t see it too?
Oh well…if there’s nothing I can do then I won’t concern myself with it.

    Thanks

How do I install the twitter follow page on my blog?

I am trying to set up my blog so that I can install the Facebook, twitter and LinkedIn follow me pages.

I have the same issue. Follow Me shows up in Firefox and Safari, but not in Chrome, Opera

Tweet button doesn’t show on my site in FF 10.0.02.

I call it in the post-meta.php part of my site using:

    <?php if (function_exists('stc_tweetbutton')) echo stc_tweetbutton();?>

and it shows fine in Chrome and IE.

any ideas why it doesn’t show in FF?

    nvm: AdBlock was blocking it.
