Simple way to restrict access to product categories?

  • I need to have certain categories restricted to be only viewable by registered users:
    Cat A: all access
    Cat B: registered users only

    Seems like this should be easy but I’m having a hard time finding a plug in that works with wpec. Most restrict either posts, pages, products, or WP categories but NOT product categories.
    Role Scoper probably would work but it seems like overkill for such a simple function.

  • Actually Its fairly easy with the WP-Ecommerce Members Access Extension of WPEC.

    What I would do Is also Install a categories plugin which allows you to use a shortcode to display a single or multiple categories. Then make pages around those categories and lock the category pages accordingly.

    Think that is a simple workaround?
