Read the instructions with the plugin. Or ask the plugin author. Or look at the author’s webpage.

Really, my point is that there are a lot of plugins, and you should look for support on those plugins with the plugin author first. They’re more likely to know the answer to your questions about the plugin.

I’ve been throught the site where i got the plugin from back to front and couldn’t find anything. I posted something on there site to to ask for help andjust thought I would post something on this site too incase some one had the same problem I had too.

I’m not a lazy person. i have been throught all the info i can find about it and couldn’t find anything.

    thanks for the help though

what, specifically, is confusing in the instructions on this page?

    https://simplepie.org/docs/plugins/wordpress/

he gives several examples of how to use it.

What HTML page? Do you mean a WordPress page? If so, then it tells you, right there, on that page whooami linked to. See the “How to use it” section.

If you don’t understand how to edit a theme, then that page has it covered as well. See the links in the “What Do I Need To Know?” section.

Most importantly, you have to *read the documentation*. If you don’t understand what you’re doing and how the thing works, then of course, none of it will make sense. Not everything in life has a “For Dummies” short and simple answer.

Anyway, if you can’t figure it out from that much easy to follow documentation, then I suggest finding somebody else to actually do it for you. The wp-pro mailing list is a good place to start.

    simonhagen,

Here is your original posting at the SimplePie forums (https://simplepie.org/support/viewtopic.php?id=974), which was posted on the same day as your first posting here… which tells me that you didn’t find my answer helpful.

Perhaps I’m missing something, or I didn’t understand what you were looking for. Above (and in the aforementioned WP posting) you said “how do i use it to get the RSS feed into an html page?” This is probably a more complicated question than you seem to know.

In your case, what does “HTML page” mean? Do you mean a WordPress blog page? Do you mean a WordPress template? You said that you installed the SimplePie Plugin for WordPress, so I’m assuming that there’s something explicitly WordPress related here. Do you mean that you don’t know how to edit the page in the first place?

Some of these suggestions may seem a little silly, but I have no idea what your skill level is, so if I’m on or off track, I need you to let me know what *exactly* you’re wanting to accomplish, or what *exactly* your question is — preferably with some context.

    Thanks. ??

don’t worry. i realised i was asking something in a difficult way and that i actually know the answer already… just wasn’t thinkin properly cause i’ve been majorly stressed with this other site and blog that kept crashing and freaking out. anyways, thanks for the help.
