I love using simply static together with some version control/diff tools so that I only need to upload the pages that have actually changed. Unfortunately a recent change to simply static means that a query string similar to ‘?simply_static_page=1078669’ is appearing on some links and this causes an unnecessary page change. It’s particularly noticable on pages with page numbers/link generated by paginate_links or where a redirection managed by the ‘Redirection’ plugin is triggered. I’d like some way to suppress this query string appearing in the generated HTML.

    Hey @tremlas,

    thanks for letting me know!

There weren’t any changes within the last updates that would explain that behavior, but it can be a side-effect of some of the new features implemented.

If you don’t mind, add an issue with further explanation (screenshots, plugins, and theme used) to GitHub, and we will check that: https://github.com/patrickposner/simply-static/issues

    Best regards,

    Patrick

I have the same issue and didn’t saw this post before so my other one can be ignored. I tested it with a default installation and some posts so pagination comes into place. After generating the site the links work fine but as mentioned from @tremlas they shouldn’t be there ??
I’m adding an issue on GitHub,
    and thanks in advance
