Simulating :hover on Touchscreens

Hello again,

This is an extension on a previous question that’s been asked here:

making title static on mobile only

However, I am interested in displaying the same default “on :hover” overlay-style card with more information for both touchscreens and none touch screens

Would it be possible to simulate :hover states on grid items for touchscreens?

Example, If I select a skin that shows the thumbnail and then shows the title and category within an overlay on :hover it looks amazing.

However, if I visit the same page on a touchscreen I see the grid item thumbnail but as soon as I tap in, I am taken to the post as if I clicked a link.

I understand the limitation of :hover on touchscreen, however, there might be a fix.
