Simultaneously Publicize to a Facebook Profile Wall and Facebook Fan Page?

    Hello,

    I wanted to configure the JetPack Publicize module to automatically post my blog entries to my personal FaceBook timeline/wall as well as to the wall of a Fan Page I admin. The fanpage is tied to my aforementioned personal Facebook account.

    I see both options when attempting to configure the Facebook link in Publicize, but right now, it looks like Publicize only allows (radio buttons vs. check boxes) me to push to one or the other, but not both? Is that correct and is there a way to get it to push my posts to both at the same time?

    I tried hitting “add new Facebook connection” again, but it just replaces the account I previously added.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    Jetpack doesn’t allow you to publicize to multiple pages from a single account, but you can add a new connection, to a new Facebook account, to work around the problem.

    Start by going to Facebook, and log out of your account. Log back in with another Facebook account, listed as an admin on your Facebook Page. You should then be able to go back to Settings > Sharing in your dashboard, and click on “Add a new Connection” to create a new Publicize connection.

    It may work from a technical point of view, but it’s not just a pain in the ass: maintaining multiple accounts also violates Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities (i.e. terms of use). It’s one way to get your account disabled, as they clarify here.

    Will there be a technical solution that allows updating a Wall and profile from a single account in JetPack any time soon?

    We’re planning on adding such option, but I don’t have an ETA yet.

    This is a key fault in Jetpack. My other plug-in allowed it. I switched jetpack because I was told of all the neat features. Not having the ability to post a word press post to both Facebook profile and Facebook page is a major disability to this app.

    I have friends on my profile and followers on my Page to which post contents are relevant.

    Makes perfect sense. When are you going to fix this issue.

    I’m commenting here just to wake the thread back up and get a notification when Jeremy Herve can let us know that they’ve added this much needed functionality.

    This is a problem for me as well. An elegant Jetpack solution would be so nice.

    Same issue here. We have multiple authors on our site so my personal items that I write go to my personal Facebook page. However, I currently have no means to also send ALL posts from ALL of the site’s authors to our Fan Page which is entirely essential to get this working optimally.

    Not sure if this is the same topic, Just thought I’d try my luck
    Can you guys tell me whether you whether i can add company profiles to Publicize on jetpack. Because when I try to add G+ and Linkedin it just goes to my page as I’m the manager of both G+ business page and Linkedin Company page.

    Is there a workaround I can use so that it links to the company page and not my personal page.

    Neither Google+ nor LinkedIn allow you to automatically post to a company page yet. As soon as they allow this, we’ll make sure we add this to Jetpack Publicize!
