That’s a weird message. Not something I’ve come across.

Can you install it and show me a screenshot?

Hi, thanks for replying. Here there are the screenshots:

In Install plugins page says not supported:

And when install can′t be activated:

Is there a way to check with your host in case they are disabling this?

It shows that the plugin is compatible but also shows as “disabled” which leads me to believe this is being forced from a different way.

Or it could be a security plugin that is blocking this for some reason. For this I suggest disabling all other plugins and see if this status changes

    I use wordpress.com bussiness account.

Shows as compatible, right, but also as not supported. TOP 10 had been working ok for a year without any problem at all. Also notice that I did not install any new plugin since months so the Top 10 weird issue that began happening a week ago, more or less, can′t be related to new plugin installs that conflict.

The only plugin, security related, that I use is TML (Theme My Login) IS there any incompatibilities with latest release of this popular plugin?

I can′t disable it, TML, cos it′s a must for my site.

    Thanks a lot.

Not that I am aware of. Can you check with the WordPress.com business account support if they don’t let you install this plugin?

A few Google searches I did showed this as a potential issue for other plugins.

Ok, I′ve more info and a link to more info, both crucial I think: This is the answer of wordpress.com help stuff, happiness engineers:

“As displayed here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/incompatible-plugins/ that plugin runs several unnecessary SQL queries. So, it has been blocked here.”

    “SQL-Heavy Plugins
These are plugins that we’ve found to put a high strain on our servers due to the exorbitant number of SQL queries they create”

Thanks for confirming. There isn’t much I can about that am afraid. The plugin runs two queries for updating data and using transients to cache the output list (if enabled).

I suspect WordPress.com gives you the ability to use their JetPack stats which won’t run on your server.

I’ll mark this resolved as there isn’t a solution that I am aware of for this given it’s blocked by the host.
