since version 14.0 breadcrumbs are displayed wrong

    Hello,
    Ever since version 14.0 breadcrumbs are displayed wrong: it shows the first-in-alfabet category, not the chosen category. (To be more specific: the first-in-alfabet-category that has a subcategory).
    Last good working version for breadcrumbs was and is 13.5. I am using the newest WordPress 5.5.3. with updated plugins. Updating to 15.4, clearing cache or reindexing does not help. Could you fix this issue?

    We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble with the breadcrumbs. Can you please confirm try resetting the Yoast Indexables tables and migrations by using the Yoast Test Helper plugin to see whether this resolves the issue for you?

    – Go to Tools → Yoast Test → Yoast SEO → Reset indexables tables & migrations options to reset it.
    – Rerun the SEO data optimization from the Yoast SEO → Tools page.

    Let us know whether the issue persists.

    in the meantime critical error after changing version and reindexing again, I can’t access my site now. Will look after this mess later tonight
