single category feed

Can someone please tell me how to create a category specific feed? I have tried entering the url as suggested

https://www.mydomain.com/feed?rss2&cat=172# along with others, and nothing works. They all send me to the primary feed.

Is it possible to create a feed for only one category?

Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!
