I’m trying to follow these instructions to create a custom single-event template using Elementor Pro.

My website is using a Salient Child theme dereived from the Salient theme from ThemeNectar. I have added the code shown under Step 6 at the above link to wp-content/themes/salient-child/functions.php. However, when I try to create a new template, I still don’t see Event post type under “Choose template type”, i.e., I’m still seeing what’s shown under Step 6 and not what’s shown under Step 7. I’ve tried refreshing the page before adding a new template but it doesn’t help.

Am I missing something? The documentation is very sparse. Please help!

  • Hi @atulc,

With Elementor you can control the Layout & Design of the Single Post Template – on any theme.

    1. Under Templates > Add New, from the dropdown select Single, and under Select Post Type select Post, give it a name, and click Create Template.
    2. Choose a Post Block and Insert. Alternatively, you can design your own.
    3. Click the gear icon in the lower-left corner of the widget panel to select a specific post as the preview example while editing.
    4. Edit any elements as you’d like. After you’ve finished designing, click Publish.

Still, you are facing an issue, create a ticket here: https://support.wp-eventmanager.com/portal/en/home

    Regards,
    Priya
