• A strange thing is happening after updating the plugin to the 6.x version.

This is an example of a single event page: https://guatemalacvb.com/event/conferencia-microfinanzas/

After a day or two, all single event pages start returning a 404 error(we tested it in different devices and locations), but as soon as I login to the dashboard on any of those devices then the urls start working again for a few hours. And I don’t mean that they work only when logged in to the dashboard, also pages in incognito mode start loading. It seems that the act of login into the dashboard from any device triggers whatever thing that enables the urls on every device.

It’s happening only on single events pages, so that’s why I though’t I’d post it here in case it’s happening to other people as well.

Any suggestions or ideas would be appretiated.

    Hi @xicoofficial ,

Thank you for reaching out, and I’m sorry to learn of the difficulties.

Have you tried regenerating your permalinks and flushing your cache to see if that helps?

For me to get a better understanding of your setup, could you provide the versions of the following?

    1. PHP
    2. WordPress
    3. The Events Calendar
    4. Theme and Version

    Thank your for your reply,

To give more context, the issue get’s resolved when regenerating the permalinks, but that lasts a few hours to a day, and then once again all links get 404 errors until we regenerate permalinks again. So we’ve been doing that everyday, but doesn’t solve our main issue.

Here is the information you requested:

    1. php version is: 7.4
    2. WordPress version is: 6.1.1
    3. The Events Calendar version is: 6.0.10
    4. Theme is: Divi Theme version is: 4.20.2

I’ll go ahead and upate them all to the latest versions and report back if things change, but so far I keep having the same issue.

    Hi @xicoofficial

I’m sorry to hear that you’re still having this issue.

If you have a caching plugin or server-side caching, please try to clearing them and see if that makes a difference.

Moreover, may I also ask for your hosting provider? I’d like to check further from our side if we encounter similar issues.

    Hi Darian,

Yes, the issue persists. I’ve updated the site to:

    WordPress 6.2
    PHP 8.1

My hosting provider is Flywheel. I’ve emptied the cache a few times, and also try disabling cache altogether but it doesn’t make any difference. Thanks for the help.
