single page links back to test site.

  • PROBLEM:
    I made a test site and am being redirected from my main site to my test site for only one link.
    the link that redirects to the test site:
    https://www.mandiberg.com/2011/12/07/burned-books/

    HOW IT HAPPENED:
    I attempted to create a test site to try out the theme workality lite. I did not properly migrate wordpress as I should have done since the one I was working with (the non-test site) had been hacked and there were some strange files on there and figured if i just put a dump of the database into a fresh wordpress everything would work fine. It didn’t work fine.

    I dumped the database of site A, altered the mysql prefix using find and replace and placed it onto site B, went through the set up and was able to get on the backend. I ran into a lot of problems with getting the wordpress on site B to work at all. So I then followed the instructions and dumped the files as well just to see if I could get it working. Both site A and B are in a subfolder: /wp/

    SOLUTIONS:
    -sudo grep’d the entire file system under site A for site B’s URL
    -looked through the database in the posts and meta and options tables for anything with site B’s URL
    -looked into permalinks and general settings in site A

    I would really appreciate someone pointing me in the right direction. I am at a loss for what might be the issue here. Are there any other places I should look to see if there is a redirect?
