Single Post blog pages are all blank – No images or text

  • Hi everyone,

    I’ve been using WP on my personal site for 10 years, and now that I’m working for a company in China on their WP site, I have never seen so many problems with a blog! The issues always seem to be database errors (that randomly happen without me touching anything) and this is an issue I’ve never seen before.

    The single post blog pages are totally white blank. My last blog post was last night about 5:30 pm and I ended up installing All In One SEO plug-in about the same timeframe. The blog was working fine before I left work. I woke up today at 5 am, seeing that the text from the sidebar widget was showing, but no images. The Twitter and the Top 10 Posts widgets were working fine as well. There was nothing at all showing in the blog post area–no text or images. No footer items.

    A couple hours later, the page goes totally blank white. I disabled the All In One SEO plugin and updated all of the ones that I needed to update. Still a white page.

    I have to wait until 6 pm to get help from China, but I’d like to get more insight since the team is not experts on this. Thank you!

    Errors like this are logged. Check the error log on your server. If you can’t find the log, please contact your host.

    Meantime, enable wp_debug and wp_debug_log and after an error, look at wp-content/debug.log to see if anything gets logged there. https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Debugging_in_WordPress

    You can also try this: Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

    If you cannot access wp-admin, there are other ways to deactivate plugins.

    Thank you Steve. I do not have access to the error logs or server (China team at 6 pm will have to help). I disabled all plug-ins and did activate the 2017 theme and the blog post looked somewhat normal as far as the text and images from blog appearing. It looked crazy, and since this is a business site, I had to reactivate the theme we were using so the rest of the site looked normal. Since I pay for my theme from BeaverBuilder, I might have to send a ticket to them to see what is going on.

    Oops.. here is something new. I disabled JetPack, and when I reactivated it, it acted like I needed to set it up again. When I hit the button to set it up, I received this message:
    Error Details: The registration secrets sent by your site do not match the ones the Jetpack server has on record.
    This might help us figure out what is happening? When I looked this up, it says to ask the engineers on my end to update to SSL Certificate.

    Nope, that’s just yet another issue.

    So, (1) contact your theme’s authors then (2) contact Jetpack in their support area at https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/jetpack
