Single Product Permalink is a 404

I’ve installed this plugin in addition to Woo Commerce and WPML. Also WPML’s addon for media translation, string translation, and CMS. I’ve successfully translated a WooCommerce product following these directions:

I even tried switching themes (right now using TwentyThirteen).

But when I choose a language from the dropdown, click on a product on the “shop” page that shows all products, then that product takes me to a 404 instead of it’s single detail page. What am I doing wrong? I tried saving permalinks on the dashboard without changing anything in case it was an htaccess thing. Nothing. The urls look like this:

url/wordpress/product/test-product/?lang=zh-hans
url/wordpress/product/test-product/?lang=fr
url/wordpress/product/test-product/?lang=ja

And the links are broken even if I “view” the product from the dashboard. Suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks.
