single_term_title call not showing

Okay .. what are my old eyes missing?

My intention is to have a section showing the previous post in each category ..

For example … “Previous Trip Report” .. (post excerpt)

everything works … except the title

Right now I have …

<h3><a href="<?php echo get_category_link($category);?>"><?php single_term_title('Previous '); ?></a></h3>

No h3 shows … just goes straight to the excerpt writeup and thumb.

Where’d I go wrong?
