single.php ??

    How do I modify code for the individual posts pages if I don’t have single.php? I’d like to changes fonts , padding, spacing but I can’t find anywhere to do it…

    please help!! my individual posts are all crazy and unformatted!

  • Not every theme has a single.php, and the ones that don’t use index.php.

    You can copy the theme’s index.php file and rename it single.php…then start editing

    thanks for the guidance – now…. once I do that, what should I edit in either the index or single file so that I can alter page look – colors, fonts, line height, etc. ??

    Colors, fonts etc are usually defined in the styles.css file. You then make reference to these “styles” in the index.php or single.php

    I would suggest you take a little course in CSS. Do a Google search and you’ll find everything you need. Good luck!

    perfect – thanks all! I’ve managed to upload a single.php file so now i’m on my way to editing!
