• I just installed this plugin this morning.

First thing it did when I logged out was to switch to citadel mode and forbid admin access without any warning while I was connected !?

After manually deactivating it through FTP I gained admin access and could verify it still forbids any other connection to WP backend without any notification even in its own settings panel ! WTF !?

No thanks for the time lost …

By the way, all plugin settings were at default value from its installation …

Check your hosting provider first! Then check sending email via links on the Main settings page. Obviously, your site can’t send any outgoing email.

If citadel mode is activated, while you logged in, you will be able to see notification above any settings pages and plugin’s pages and plus on the dashboard widget. It’s your fault if you don’t pay attention how your site works and what’s going on, while my free plugin try to protect you site for free. I have a tens of sites under my maintaining with the WP Cerber active and it works perfectly.

Explain me, also, how can you “verify forbids any other connection to WP backend” if you disabled plugin? It seems you don’t understand how my plugin works.

Very simple, after enabling again your plugin, it does not kill active connections but if you try to connect again from another browser or using private window it just doesn’t allow it, you get message that wp-admin page is not available.

Still the same of course if you restart your browser in case there was a glitch …

Do you really believe I would be so disappointed of I hadn’t look at my backend ?
How come you’re so sure my site does send mails ? As a matter of fact it does for other plugins …

But anyway, I didn’t expected it to send any. I expected it to just show a flag or anything in admin backend.

In the end deactivacting your plugin by renaming its folder just gave me acces back …

There is no point ignoring I had a problem, there would be one explaining how citadel mode should show.

Developping a plugin for free is great but it’s not a reason for not reporting problem.

First of all. Your site is under attack. It’s obviously.
    Second, you wrote:

“without any notification even in its own settings panel ! WTF !?”

This is not a truth. Because my plugin shows warning messages above all settings pages if Citadel mode is active.
Third. Not realizing how plugin works is not a reason for giving one star rating. You should respect people who give of their time.

It’s a security plugin and it, obviously, touches vital aspects of the site’s behavior. You need to pay attention to the settings and realize all of the consequences.
