• I have been having issues since I started using Ultimate Member, and I’ve had to sort out the issues myself. However, this one has defied all efforts to get to the roots, including plugin and theme conflict tests.

I also ensured that the site Administrator has the appropriate permissions in User Roles. Still, as Admin, I can’t edit my profile, change profile picture or wall photo. The Edit Profile link is not among the links on profile page. I logged in as a non-admin member and saw that members are able to edit their profiles. Only Admin can’t.

Has anyone else had this issue?

    Hi @clifincnet,

Do you use WordPress user role or Ultimate member admin role?
Can you please try to create new admin user role with admin access and see if admins with the new admin role can edit their profiles.

    Regards.

    Hi @monkip,

Do you mean that you have this issue using Chrome browser?
Can you please try clearing cache and data and see if it helps.

    Regards.

I noticed edit profile link started showing again, and I can’t really place what I did to enable it. It just seems random, but as soon as I updated to the latest version, 2.0.24, the problem came back.

I saw the notification to update the database structure. I tried to but it got stuck at

    Upgrade Process Started...
    Get Upgrades Packages...

Right now, UM is not working properly.

Please, is there another way to perform the database upgrade?

I was able to run the update by switching to the default Twenty Seventeen theme. However, the problem of Admin not being able to edit profile is still there, even with the default theme and all plugins deactivated except UM

Was this ever resolved? I am having the same issue. I created a new admin that does work, but my old admin login, that I need to work, will not.

Edit: It was a permission issue that I believe was a conflict with another plug in. I changed permissions then changed them back and it now works.

Almost five months after I posted this, the issue is still unsolved. Creating a new admin temporarily solves the issue though. I just switch to the new admin when I need to view user profiles, and use the old admin for virtually everything else. It’s not convenient, but it seems to be the only option available at this time.
