• Okey guys! I am new to wordpress and this is my first site.
I first built a website on a localhost (bitnami), but failed to migrate it to my live domain. I for example tried to use the duplicator plugin to make a backup and upload it to my live domain using FTP, nothing worked so I deleted all public html files on Filezilla (from the live site where i had tried to upload a backup site) and downloaded WP from my hosting provider.
note that I built the website using the flatsome theme.
I then recreated the website by copy and pasting the html code from my old site to my new (where you “edit page”). After that I have uploaded new images, created new products etc.
However, my site is now extremely slow (website speed tests says that it takes between 9-14 seconds to load site), my admin panel is also extremely slow, every button i press takes several seconds (around 14 secs) to respond.
    The plugins i have installed:
    -Contact Form 7
    -Duplicate Page
    -EWWW Image Optimizer
    -GTmetrix for WordPress
    -Jetpack by WordPress.com
    -Klarna Checkout for WooCommerce
    -Query Monitor
    -Variation Swatches for WooCommerce
    -W3 Total Cache
    -WooCommerce
    -WooCommerce Shipping & Tax
    -WPForms Lite

When I first used the EWWW Image Optimizer to minimize all images it said that i had 400+ images, but i have only uploaded like 50 images. Can this be remains from my old attempts to migrate my site?

The only critical site health issue i get is “Your WordPress Address is set up to use HTTPS, but your website appears to be unavailable when using an HTTPS connection.

Talk to your web host about resolving this HTTPS issue for your website.”

I have contacted my hosting provider and they are working on it, but can this really be the only reason why my site (and admin panel) is so slow?!

I hope I have given all the info that is necessary, thankful for any help i can get. I am totally clueless and have done everything that i could think of (and the tutorials have thought me)

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

ps, my php is version 7.4.11

    Hi, @ollenilsson

When I first used the EWWW Image Optimizer to minimize all images it said that i had 400+ images, but i have only uploaded like 50 images. Can this be remains from my old attempts to migrate my site?

I don’t know how that plugin works, but keep in mind that, depending on what theme you use, when you upload an image, WordPress will create 3-8 or more different sizes of that image and the plugin needs to optimize them all, not only the full sized uploaded one. So that would explain that number. A large amount of images on a page can increase loading time.

The only critical site health issue i get is “Your WordPress Address is set up to use HTTPS, but your website appears to be unavailable when using an HTTPS connection.

I see your site uses https protocol. This might be related to a known issue with Site Health that falsely alerts about not using HTTPS – this will be fixed in a future release – but it doesn’t affect your speed.

website speed tests says that it takes between 9-14 seconds to load site

On my tests, your page only takes 3s to load ??

However, my site is now extremely slow (website speed tests says that it takes between 9-14 seconds to load site), my admin panel is also extremely slow, every button i press takes several seconds (around 14 secs) to respond.

You can try deactivating plugins and see if it helps with the speed.

Several factors can affect the performance of your WordPress site. Here’s some articles on optimization:

    Hope this helps,

    Kind regards!
