I’ve just rebuilt my site using the block theme Twenty Twenty-Three. Mostly, I’ve got it looking the way I want it, but there’s one perverse feature of the theme that’s frustrating me: When I make my site and post titles into links, the type shrinks—dramatically so, in the case of my site title, which I’d like to be quite large. It shrinks down almost to text size, while my post titles jump down from H1-size to H4-size. (As currently formatted, I’ve left my post titles as links, but I’ve unlinked the site title.)

Why on earth does this happen, and is there any way around it? I haven’t found one.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • I have the very same problem! I think it is because I am only able to set one size for EVERY link in the global style settings (the ones behind the half white and black circle in the editor).

So once i enable “set title as link” (or whatever it says in english) it takes the global size setting like all the other links.

And i am not able to customize the size of the title blocks independently. I can click on a bigger size, it gets selected, but the size does not change…

I cannot believe, that it is meant to be this way and i would highly appreciate help for solving this without the css work around. Is there a way to deactivate the global link size style to make it manually somehow?

Maybe what i explained is helpful. Thanks a lot for your great work, making and keeping wordpress usesable for all of us. Amazing service, thank you,

@adrean – thanks for starting your own thread, it’s the right thing to do, rather than replying to an old, resolved, one like this. You’ll get a reply over there.
