Hey guys

When I disable the plugin, I get this error on my BuddyPress pages:

Fatal error: Cannot access empty property in /public_html/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-core/bp-core-template.php on line 823

I either need this plugin fixed, or I need you to figure out how I can delete it.

I’ve done NOTHING that should keep me from simply disabling it. I haven’t messed with any core files or anything.

There’s no reason I shouldn’t be able to just remove this plugin all together. It’s holding up my site launch and I’d just like to remove the Media tab from my Profiles all together until you guys resolve the bugs.

I was told that an update would be out by Wednesday…but at this point I’m not sure if I can wait. This is literally the last thing I’m waiting for to launch my site…I’d prefer to just launch my site for now and offer it as an upgrade in the future to my users.

I have emailed you guys numerous times…you have my login info and everything.

This isn’t due to BuddyPress Media.

I see that you’ve used the buddypress template pack. Could you get into the FTP and delete the custom.php?

Sorry, that has to be bp-custom.php

While you are at it, you might have to temporarily delete all the templates created by the plugin. Ithas not been updated for the current version of BuddyPress and you’ll have more breaks likely, as 1.7 is in alpha, already.

And for clarity’s sake and to help out anyone else facing this issue.

First delete or backup all the BuddyPress files in your theme that you might have added using BuddyPress Template Pack.

Second, the said plugin has not been updated and will not be updated because BuddyPress 1.7 will make it redundant. It’s in beta and will release soon.

Third, wait for 1.7

Ummm…my entire site is down. I’m assuming you have gone in my site and somehow messed with some stuff? I can’t even get into my wp-admin or dashboard…site is completely crashed now.

I posted this thread just before I left my house earlier…so I haven’t even been home.

nevermind…i got it.

Now that all this has happened, I’d just like to know when a working version of the plugin is released. Thank you for all your help…but I’m gonna stay away from this plugin for now, as it’s incredibly buggy.
