• My stats are not working on my wordpress.com website. There is an error message that says “Site Cannot be Accessed” and it gives me an option to Disconnect Site. That seems terrifying so I have not clicked on that. I tried to download Jet Pack again but it says that the destination folder already exists, yet it does not show up on my list of plugins.

What is going on here? I’m very new to this and do not know how to proceed.

    Thank you.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

it says that the destination folder already exists, yet it does not show up on my list of plugins.

That’s the issue here. Could you try to log in to your site via FTP or CPanel, and delete the existing Jetpack plugin folder, and reinstall the plugin manually as explained here:
    https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Managing_Plugins#Manual_Plugin_Installation

You’ll find the Jetpack plugin folder here:

    wp-content
       plugins
         jetpack - DELETE THIS FOLDER

If you’re not sure how to do this, you can ask your hosting company for help. They should also have documentation explaining how to edit or remove files from your site using FTP or a File Manager in your admin panel.

Let me know how it goes.
