Out of curiosity, I used the Jetpack Debugger and saw a message: “Site cannot communicate properly with Jetpack.” However, my website appears to be stable with no problems.

Is this error condition affecting my site in a way I haven’t noticed yet, or may I safely ingore the message?

Hi there! Could you provide me with a link to your site, so I can take a look?

As a precautionary first step, I might also suggest disconnecting and reconnecting Jetpack from WordPress.com. To do so, click on Jetpack from your site’s Dashboard and scroll all the way down where you’ll see a link that says “Disconnect from WordPress.com”. Click that to disconnect.

To reconnect, click the green button that says “Connect to Get Started” and follow the prompts.

Please let me know about the above, and we can go from there!

Thanks for getting back. Site URL is https://cutetropolis.com/

I will try your disconnect/reconnect idea now.

Update: I disconnected, then reconnected with my WordPress.com login. The first time, I saw a red message saying “trouble connecting, try again.” So I clicked to try again and that time I was taken back to my site and saw a green message “Your Jetpack is already connected.”

Then I clicked “Debug” and this time saw a green message “Your Jetpack setup looks a-okay!”
So it appears your suggestion solved the issue.

Just so it’s clear, all of my Jetpack functions were working yesterday when I saw the “site cannot connect” message, even those that required a connection. Anyway, thanks.

Thanks for the update! I had a look at your site, and it appears to be properly connected at the moment. I suspect it might have just been a temporary hiccup.

I’ll mark this thread resolved, but please let us know if you experience any further trouble!
