Hello good people of wordpress

There is this hacker as “BLACK NEWBIE TEAM” from indonisia who is constantly hacking into my wordpress site. Please need advice on what to do.

I had the pharmacy hack, and someone hacked my main page to another basically to swear and prove they could.
The easiest way is to do a clean install from a back up you should have taken.

Once WP is working again, take security measures, I found plugins, login lock, wordfence and there are others, do a plugin search and look at reviews etc.

kenty is correct that a clean install is the way to go.

Once you’ve done that, take a look at the Hardening WordPress page in the Codex. It’s all great advice and helps a lot if done correctly.

Additionally, I really like Limit Login Attempts plugin. It prevents against bruteforce attacks on your passwords, though these should fail anyway if you are using secure passwords (here is one page that defines “secure passwords”).

I have tried to do a clean up via cpanel and ftp. Now when i try to access my login page, it take me to this link “https://myghnews.com/wp-admin/install.php” asking me to install new wordpress all together.

I have edited wp_config file with the correct database login info as well.

Dont know what else to do. Please i need your help

Double check your DB connection settings. Also confirm you properly restored your DB from backup. The install script should only run if it’s not finding the tables and values it expects in the DB.

If that checks out, I’d go ahead and fill out the form and let it install. Something must have been corrupted and re-installing should repair it. I believe the data should stay safe. Even if not, you have a back-up, right?
